A major UK oil and gas operator required ongoing specialist control and safety system support for several offshore installations to ensure continued safe and efficient operations.
We were engaged to provide dedicated specialist resources to work and complete scopes as part of an integrated operations team.
Our Scope
Provision of specialist engineering services to support the following operational areas:
- System and Application Support – Act as single point of contact for all control and safety systems. Specifically, providing application support (requiring detailed knowledge of the asset’s ESD philosophy, F&G philosophy, and process control and operating philosophy). Responsible for engaging technical support from the system supplier on behalf of the client. Managing the system supplier to ensure corrective and preventative maintenance activities are completed.
- E/E/PES Change Management – Responsible for managing all changes to Electrical / Electronic / Programmable Electronic systems for several assets. Including validation and verification of any requested change.
- Alarm Management – Responsible for alarm management activities across several assets.
- Functional Safety Management – Management of the functional safety lifecycle and to complete or provide input into specific functional safety related deliverables.
Result
We were able to integrate with the client’s operations, maintenance, and technical assurances team to effectively and efficiently deliver all aspects of the scope.
